Job Summary

The Materials Handler II supports production operations by ensuring the accurate and timely movement of materials according to the build schedule. This role is responsible for kitting materials for production work orders, maintaining kanban inventory locations, and performing system transactions to track material status. The Materials Handler II works independently to manage assigned materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and support production teams while ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Job Responsibilities




  • Kit materials to production work orders based on the build schedule.



  • Issue production materials to kanban locations to support ongoing production needs.



  • Manage and maintain assigned materials to ensure availability and accuracy.



  • Perform SAP transactions to accurately reflect material movements and inventory status.



  • Participate in monthly cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.



  • Accurately count, track, and reconcile material quantities.



  • Troubleshoot material-related issues using sound judgment and initiative.



  • Prioritize daily tasks to ensure materials are delivered according to production requirements.



  • Assist with training new team members on material handling processes and procedures.



  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with operational standards.



  • Lift and handle materials and packages weighing up to 50 pounds.



  • Collaborate with production and other departments to ensure efficient material flow.




Job Requirements




  • High school diploma or GED.



  • Minimum of 3 years of materials handling experience in a manufacturing environment.



  • Strong planning and organizational skills.



  • Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions independently.



  • Accuracy in counting and reconciling materials.



  • Ability to perform SAP transactions or similar inventory management system tasks.



  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.



  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.




Work Experience




  • Experience in materials handling, warehouse, or inventory operations within a manufacturing environment.



  • Experience working in a medical device cleanroom environment preferred.



  • Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems preferred.



  • General computer experience preferred.
