Job Summary

Will be responsible for providing Tier 1 support for a suite of Imaging IT applications including:

* Agfa Enterprise Imaging
* Imaging IT Diagnostic and Clinical Viewers
* Vendor Neutral Archive with Enterprise Imaging integrations
* Dictation Systems
* Epic Radiant in relation to troubleshooting and integration with Radiology applications
* Radiation Dose Management Systems
* Other duties as assigned including participation in rotating evening and weekend on-call coverage

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

Department Description

UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.

Required Qualifications


  • Working knowledge of clinical application systems and functions, including development, implementation, end-user support, maintenance, and system testing/evaluation.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose issues, assess root causes, and develop multiple options for timely, effective resolution.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate productively on a team and provide training and support to clinical providers and staff.

  • Detail-oriented with proven organizational skills; able to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, set schedules, and deliver projects on time and in a cost-effective manner.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information for clinical users clearly and concisely.

  • Working knowledge of departmental systems and procedures for documentation and reporting, including the ability to perform tests and analyze/interpret relevant data.
