The person in this role will serve as the curriculum development leader for the Salt Lake County Youth and Family Resilience Team. In this role, they will independently plan, coordinate, and deliver resilience-focused educational programming to youth and families, oversee the development of new lessons as indicated by partner input, and provide coaching to facilitate effective lesson selection. Additionally, they will strategically expand program delivery to new schools and community partners throughout Salt Lake County by assessing needs and recommending instructional priorities. All lessons are taught in person during the school day, in afterschool programs, during family nights at schools, and through youth summer programs. This is a grant-funded position and continued employment is contingent upon ongoing grant funding. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and deliver evidence-based resilience education to students and families, exercising independent judgment in instructional approach and facilitation methods. Facilitate the delivery of resilience-focused lessons throughout Salt Lake County by developing partnerships with schools and other community organizations to increase reach and impact. Serve as a liaison between USU Extension and school/community partners to align programming with identified needs. Plan and implement educational workshops, community events, and other programming activities, determining format, instructional strategy, and content priorities based on assessment of community and school needs. Independently assess community and school needs, analyze partner input and program data, and determine priorities for new curriculum topics and instructional materials. Facilitate the development of new lessons, including overseeing the creation of all necessary materials (e.g., handouts, activities, presentations), ensuring alignment with evidence-based instructional strategies and grant objectives. Maintain up to date menu of all available lessons across all projects, including strategic organization and content curation to support informed instructional decision-making. Train and coach schools around the selection of lessons to best meet their needs, providing consultative guidance based on subject matter expertise in youth and family resilience. Evaluate educator competencies and determine appropriate instructional assignments; coordinate and manage the educator roster to ensure effective and compliant program delivery. Ensure that all educational materials are distributed to educators prior to their scheduled lessons, and establish processes to monitor instructional readiness and fidelity to curriculum standards. Develop manuals and implementation guides around best educational practices for schools and project team members, serving as the subject matter expert in resilience-focused instructional strategies. Provide updates and information to project stakeholders, partners, and funders, including synthesizing program data and outcomes into professional reports and summaries. Maintain accurate records of lesson implementation and programming efforts, collecting and analyzing participation and outcome data to inform program improvements. May help prepare project reports to meet funder requirements, including drafting narrative content and contributing to compliance documentation. May participate in grant writing to support educational program implementation, including contributing program design language, objectives, and measurable outcomes. Assist with other duties as assigned, consistent with the coordination and administration of program objectives. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Health Promotion, Human Development, or other related field; OR four years related experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
