Join Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital as an RN III - Occupational Health Ambulatory Clinic and make a meaningful impact on the health, safety, and wellbeing of a diverse workforce. In this vital role you'll combine clinical nursing skills with preventive health initiatives to keep employees healthy, productive, and safe - while supporting the mission and goals of a world-class health system.
What the RN III will do
- Deliver direct, patient-centered occupational health care using current best practices and evidence-based occupational health principles in a very busy, high-acuity ambulatory setting
- Coordinate and manage medical surveillance programs and employee health services in keeping with federal, state, and professional regulations.
- Serve as a clinical resource, educator, and mentor - provide direction and support to team members and employees, help maintain program consistency, and participate in targeted training to raise the standard of care across the department.
- Manage clinic inventory using budgetary knowledge and surveillance resources to keep the unit stocked adequately
- Facilitate referrals to internal and community providers, monitor follow-up, and help navigate return-to-work processes using basic case management skills.
- Enable and support pre-employment new hires to smoothly complete the occupational health screening process
- Support compliance initiatives related to ADA, FMLA, Joint Commission standards, and Alcohol & Drug Testing (NIDA guidelines).
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary health care team to improve employee outcomes, streamline workflows, and advance occupational health programs.
- Champion continuous quality improvement efforts that enhance services, reduce risk, and contribute to organizational goals.
Required qualifications
- Current RN DC licensure at time of hire
- Active BLS/CPR certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent nursing experience, ideally in Occupational Medicine, Emergency Department, Outpatient, or Urgent Care settings and demonstrated clinical leadership/resource
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program required
Preferred qualifications
- Certification through the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses (COHN or COHN-S) is highly desirable.

Shift: Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 4pm (no weekends or holidays)

Salary Range: Minimum 46.57/visit - Maximum $79.39/visit. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
