Description and Requirements

We are seeking a driven and experienced PBM Specialist to serve as the critical connecting link between our Global Supply Chain (GSC) Team (Commodity Management, Cost, Manufacturing, and Quality) and the Offering Development Teams (ODT). In this end-to-end focal role, you will act as the SCM, defining supply chain designs that meet targets for procurement, material availability, quality, and manufacturability. You will govern the lifecycle from New Product Introductions (NPI) kick-off through to End of Life (EOL), driving the "One Lenovo" strategy, mitigating risk, and ensuring synergy across multiple business segments to support robust NPI and sustaining executions.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Server Supply Chain Management: Drive the full lifecycle of server systems and infrastructure from NPI kick-off, sourcing strategy, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) management, through to volume production readiness and product EOL.
  • Server Sourcing Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute NPI sourcing plans tailored for complex server architectures (including computing nodes, high-density storage, and chassis/power subsystems). Represent GSC in the ODT and closely interlock with Global Commodity Management (GCM) to secure critical, long-lead server
  • components.
  • Risk Management & Material Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks specific to server hardware, such as single-source components, semiconductor shortages, and component lead-time constraints. Lead checkpoint reviews to ensure compliance, quality, and material readiness.
  • Data-Driven Problem Solving & Cost Optimization: Execute in-depth cost analysis (e.g., Should-Cost modeling, BOM optimization) and apply structured launch processes to resolve complex component or procurement issues, balancing technical requirements with business metrics.
  • Strategic Server Infrastructure Projects: Lead special assignments and strategic initiatives within the GSC organization, such as evaluating new component vendors, driving localization strategies, or optimizing procurement processes for bulk server deployments.

Basic Requirements

  • Experience: 3-5 years of procurement, supply chain, or program management experience directly within the server, data center hardware, or related enterprise electronics industry.
Preferred Requirements
  • NPI Knowledge: Proven track record of managing the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle, from early sourcing planning through to mass production readiness.
  • Communication & Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey supply chain status, cost metrics, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and management.
This position will be working onsite in our North America Headquarters in Raleigh, NC. Candidates that are already local to Raleigh, NC are preferred.
