Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network Systems Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX, Pennington, NJ and Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves managing and implementing end-to-end Linux-based infrastructure hosting critical core components. The ideal candidate will support and monitor application infrastructure, troubleshoot production issues, and participate in release management. Please note, this role requires working 2nd shift hours (12:30 PM - 9:30 PM EDT) with occasional weekend support on a rotational basis. Responsibilities: Manage and implement end-to-end Linux based infrastructure hosting critical components such as databases, GRID Computing, and Enterprise Job Schedulers Support and monitor application infrastructure and various internal core components and dependent technologies Ensure application issues on supported infrastructures are addressed and proactively fixed Support release management, troubleshooting issues, and incident/problem management Provide support coverage for migration projects related to servers, Active Directory, and datacenters Handle overall IT Infrastructure scheduled maintenance and monitor core environment components Requirements: Background in a large enterprise environment Excellent knowledge of Linux OS internals and operational OS skills Experience with troubleshooting production issues and identifying root cause and prevention Knowledge in Python, Shell, or Perl scripting Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure issues quickly Self-motivated and results-oriented with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines Desired skills: Knowledge of using Dynatrace and Splunk Pay range: $53.52 - $61.52 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
