Summary
The Senior Transportation Analyst - Americas leads advanced transportation analysis, cost optimization, and performance improvement across regional freight networks. The role uses data-driven insights, transportation systems, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance service reliability, reduce spend, strengthen carrier performance, and support strategic logistics initiatives. The analyst also provides reporting, benchmarking, and analytical leadership to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
* Analyze freight spend, carrier service performance, lane efficiency, and transportation KPIs to identify cost-saving and service-improvement opportunities.
* Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports, and operational metrics to support internal and external business reviews.
* Optimize freight operations and routing using modeling, network analysis, and transportation optimization tools.
* Lead RFQ processes by gathering, analyzing, and comparing carrier proposals to support strategic selection.
* Conduct root-cause analyses on service failures and recommend corrective actions.
* Collaborate with carriers, supply chain teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and support logistics strategies.
* Perform benchmarking studies against industry standards and evaluate alternative solutions to enhance efficiency.
* Support technology initiatives, including TMS platform use (OTM, ShipERP) and data analytics tools such as Power BI, SAP, and Excel.
* Provide on-site support as needed to oversee shipment execution, monitor daily transportation activities, and engage with operational teams.

Essential Functions of the Role
* Analyze complex data and translate insights into clear recommendations.
* Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats with cross-functional partners and carriers.
* Prioritize multiple tasks, deadlines, and projects with consistent attention to detail.
* Use transportation and ERP systems to support execution, reporting, and analytics.
* Perform core job responsibilities reliably with or without reasonable accommodation.

Education and Work Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* 5+ years of transportation or logistics analyst experience with increasing responsibility.
* Experience in supply chain, logistics, distribution operations, and carrier network management.
* Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), TMS platforms, and data analytics tools.
* Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and communication skills.

Education and Work Preferences
* Experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), ShipERP, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
* Background in RFQ management, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation.
* Exposure to transportation benchmarking, network optimization, or strategic logistics planning.
