Job Description




As a Security Officer - Welcome Desk in Dayton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a healthcare location in a Front Desk post where you are the first point of contact for employees, vendors, and visitors. You will manage access control, verify credentials, monitor cameras and alarms, answer calls, and document security-related activity with clear communication. Bring a people-first mindset and integrity while supporting an agile, reliable, and innovative team that works together to help reduce incidents and maintain a professional lobby experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, vendors, and visitors at the front desk by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control entry by greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing authorized individuals to the appropriate location.
  • Monitor front desk security-related systems and logs, including cameras, alarms, and access control activity, and report irregularities per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and unauthorized access attempts, and request assistance when needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, visitor records, and shift activity logs, and communicate key updates to oncoming personnel and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
