Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Community Patrol in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will carry a Level III Armed Certification while supporting visitors and staff with a customer-first approach. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Carry and operate assigned protective equipment in accordance with post orders, licensing requirements, and/or applicable regulations, while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and/or other required documentation, and communicate relevant updates during shift briefings and/or post transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
