Position Summary

The Program Training System Manager appliesknowledge of training systems development fundamentals to lead the development of the programs training system, which may include the development and delivery of Learning Management Systems, curriculum development, computer-based training, virtual and physical training aids and trainers.


Duties And Responsibilities
  • Manage identified resources and lead a diversly skilled team to create customer specific training system plans through analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation to ensure individuals have the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively use a system or technology.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all training system matters with customer stakeholders, certification authorities, and program leadership.
  • Work within the Program Management Office and be responsible for the technical leadership, integration and execution oversight of all training system development activities supporting the program.
  • Acts as the primary technical authority for training solutions, ensuring training systems are technically sound, operationally relevant, cost-effective, and fully aligned with program specific training requirements, objectives and customer needs.
  • Work closely with Systems Engineering, Logistics, and Human Systems Integration (HSI) to define, evaluate, and integrate training systems including curriculum, LMS, physical simulators / training aids and virtual/augmented training.
  • Interact with or manage other Oceaneering personnel and subcontractors to coordinate andguide engineering efforts necessary to meet the client's training program requirements.
  • Support the PMO in cost, schedule, resource and risk management related to the training systems.
  • Develop and manage training related requirements, specification and CDRLs
  • Support contract modifications, subcontract management and change management activities related to the program training system.
  • Provide technical input to program plans, acquisition strategies, and milestone reviews
  • Perform analysis of user requirements to identify training gaps, analyze system functionality, and definition of learning objectives.
  • Develop training by designing training materials that engage learners and provide positive learning experiences which may include, but are not limited to, presentations, manuals, simulations, videos, e-learning and virtual reality.
  • Create instructor-led content and materials packages that include lesson plans, instructor and student guides, activities and assessments.
  • Determine the most effective training methods based on learning objectives, audiences, and provided resources.
  • Ensure training system content is accurate and relevant to user needs through post-implementation evaluation and feedback.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and teams. Public speaking, project presentation, classroom instruction, and facilitation will be expected.
  • Demonstrate ability to devise innovative solutions to problems.
  • Review progress and evaluate results of work accomplished by self and others.
  • Prepare working group agendas, presentations, reports, meeting minutes, and follow up actions to report and present results to management and client.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • BS degree in Education, Instructional System Design, Systems Engineering or a related field. Commensurate experience and/or certifications will be accepted.
  • Master's Degree in Education, Instructional System Design or Systems Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of practical experience in Training Development/Adult Learning Development.
  • Minimum 5 years of experiencewith:
  • Developing training programs by working with the project customer, Subject Matter Experts, and assigned project resources that meet/exceeds required standards.
  • Managingsystem requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systemsare compatible with the defined system architectures, including Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Service-oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Assistingwith the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
  • Working knowledge of Navy training certification processes and instructional system design
  • Experience with LMS platforms and digital training content development
  • Candidate will have to perform in an ISO-9000 rated company in a rapidly changing and demanding atmosphere.
  • Must be a US citizen.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to provide administrative support within a wide-variety of Learning Managements Systems beyond user management - focus is content creation and landing space. Ability to use learning content software such as video editing and computer-based learning design programs. Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems. Peoplesoft knowledge preferred.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.

PAY, BENEFITS AND WORK SCHEDULE:

We offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package. Annualized pay for this position : $110,500 -149,500.
