POSITION SUMMARY:

The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for the operational execution of daily and long-range staffing plans to support safe, high-quality inpatient care delivery. This role ensures appropriate staffing coverage across hospital units based on patient census, acuity, skill mix, regulatory requirements, and budgetary guidelines.

Working collaboratively with nursing leadership and off-shift supervisors, the Staffing Coordinator proactively addresses staffing gaps, reallocates resources in real time, and supports fiscal stewardship while maintaining patient safety as the highest priority. The role requires strong critical thinking, situational awareness, and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Schedule: Part Time, 24 hrs. Rotating Shifts: Days/Evenings/Nights and Weekends and Holidays

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • Associate's degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Business Management (or related field) plus 3 years related experience. Will consider equivalent combination of formal education and experience, i.e. HS/GED plus 5 years related experience. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree must have at least 1 year of administrative or office experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:


  • Superior verbal/written English communication skills, including excellent grammatical, editing and proofreading skills.

  • Highly proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web browsers.

  • Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment

  • Excellent organizational skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively.

  • Effective interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with all levels of staff and external contacts.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all personal/health sensitive information.


Compensation Range:

$21.39- $30.05

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
