Our luxury retail client's Creative Operations team is seeking a Data Librarian to steward high-volume product and creative metadata across our client's systems, with a primary focus on Digital Creative libraries, CMS content structures, Airtable, and

translation databases. This role owns data integrity, schema/taxonomy management, and library migrations that support publishing and international translation workflows. The position is operational and systems-embedded (not

business KPI analytics) and requires daily cross-functional coordination with project managers, digital librarians, linguists, developers, marketing and digital creatives, and external partners. Candidates must reside in PST or MST time zones.

Responsibilities



  • Collect, map, cleanse, normalize, reconcile, and migrate data to keep databases accurate and consistent.
  • Execute high-volume data operations (imports/exports, audits, comparisons, exception handling) and validate outputs through rigorous QA.
  • Build, maintain, document, and improve operational workflows that support data management and publishing processes; identify gaps, propose fixes, and implement repeatable solutions. Provide cross-functional workflow training to colleagues with varying levels of experience in data management.
  • Manage translation data operations: maintain product translation records, priority flags, submissions intake, and ongoing updates; ensure completeness and correctness of translation databases.
  • Maintain and improve Translation Memory/Term Base structures and translation style guides; implement updates systematically.
  • Execute translation deliverables for digital and print outputs.
  • Coordinate daily/weekly cross-functional working sessions; track decisions, manage follow-ups, and communicate requirements, risks, and release impacts.


Required Qualifications



  • Advanced Excel proficiency; able to manipulate and validate large datasets
  • Demonstrated experience with metadata stewardship, controlled vocabularies, tagging, and schema management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with relational databases.
  • Airtable proficiency.
  • Hands-on experience operating in system-embedded roles (CMS, DAM//PLM environments).
  • Proven data QA mindset with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical data issues into actions for project managers, developers, librarians, and international partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple parallel work streams and shifting priorities under a deadline.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Python for automation and data transformations.
  • SQL proficiency; able to author multi-join queries for exports, audits, and reconciliation.
  • Airtable Builder certification.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Contentful, or other CMS systems.
  • Experience with Airtable admin/builds, data migrations, and governance.
  • Experience with CAT tool management.
  • Background in digital librarianship, information science, or localization/translation operations.
  • MLIS with a focus on digital assets management and UX design.
