Take a look at this opportunity with our Medical Education team, which is seeking a passionate individual, to fill the role of our Director, Clinical Education and Professional Development.

We are seeking a highly motivated physician to join our Medical Education Team on a part-time basis (3 weeks per month). This position has responsibility for developing and implementing programs to enhance the knowledge of internal and external Prolacta customers. The goal of this position is to positively impact the use of the exclusive human milk diet and human milk products. How you will contribute

This role will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the growth of our organization and develop your professional skills by performing the following...



  • Lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of clinical education programs, including webinars, virtual sessions, and in-person training.
  • Provide expert clinical guidance to domestic and international customers on the evidence-based use of Prolacta products; respond to clinical inquiries with timely and accurate information.
  • Train Sales, Commercial, and internal teams to ensure consistent, accurate, and compliant scientific and clinical communication.
  • Develop and maintain scientific and clinical educational materials, including slide sets, literature summaries, data resources, and tools for internal and external use.
  • Evaluate and synthesize emerging scientific and clinical research; prepare written analyses and updates to support guidance, training, and strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to research initiatives, including study planning, protocol support, data review, and co-authorship of abstracts, posters, and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Identify, cultivate, and engage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to support scientific exchange, advisory activities, education, and strategic initiatives.
  • Anchor the Medical Education team and collaborate with cross functional partners to ensure coordinated educational strategies and consistent scientific messaging.
  • Provide medical and safety oversight of human milk banking operations, including donor eligibility practices, milk processing standards, quality assurance, and safety monitoring.
  • Support the safety and regulatory oversight of clinical trials through collaboration with Clinical Operations, Regulatory, and Quality teams to ensure compliance with scientific, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a clinical liaison for product related complaints support through evaluation, documentation, communication, and corrective or preventive actions.
  • Ensure all scientific exchange and educational activities comply with applicable regulatory, ethical, and industry standards.
  • Identify and escalate potential safety signals or emerging risks in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Participate in national and international conferences; prepare post meeting reports summarizing relevant developments.
  • Track and report the impact and effectiveness of educational programs to support continuous improvement and strategic planning.



What you bring to the role



  • MD, DO, or MBBS with board certification or board eligibility in Neonatology.
  • Extensive clinical experience with Prolacta products, including protocol development and


implementation.



  • Demonstrated ability to educate and train interdisciplinary clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation of complex scientific information.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret scientific literature and clinical data.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Deep and current knowledge of human milk science, neonatal nutrition, and evidence-based practice.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross functional teams, including Medical Education, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Quality, Sales, and Marketing and others as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Experience providing medical or safety oversight for human milk banking or donor milk programs preferred.
  • Experience supporting or overseeing clinical research or clinical trials preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to medical education, scientific exchange, and clinical research preferred.
