Security Officer - Armed Industrial Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Industrial Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with calm communication, support visitors and staff with strong customer service, and document key activity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones, with working environments and conditions varying by post.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or public agency personnel as needed.
• Control access by monitoring entry points, checking identification and/or credentials, screening visitors, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Complete detailed reports on patrol observations, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to supervision and/or appropriate authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
