Compensation: $24.00-$25.00/Hour (+10% shift differential)
Schedule: 2nd Shift - 3:30 PM - 11:30
About the Opportunity:

The Quality Inspector Group Lead oversees daily inspection activities within an electronics manufacturing environment, ensuring products meet customer, quality, and regulatory requirements. This role combines hands-on inspection responsibilities with team leadership, workload coordination, training, and continuous improvement efforts to support production goals and maintain high standards of quality.

Here's what you'd do:

  • Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the inspection team, assigning resources and prioritizing workloads to support production schedules and quality objectives.
  • Perform and oversee visual, mechanical, functional, in-process, final, incoming, and customer quality assurance (CQA) inspections of electronic, electro-mechanical, plastic, and sheet metal components.
  • Review drawings, purchase orders, specifications, and inspection documentation to verify compliance with customer requirements, IPC standards, and internal procedures.
  • Train, mentor, and support inspectors by providing guidance, performance feedback, and assistance with conflict resolution and employee development.
  • Conduct first article inspections, process audits, and verification of rework activities while ensuring accurate documentation and timely data entry in quality systems.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and customer representatives to resolve quality issues, provide inspection feedback, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO procedures, ESD controls, safety requirements, and housekeeping standards while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of work-in-process and inspection records.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in inspection in electronics manufacturing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with SMT, Wave, or Final Inspection
  • Minimum 2 years of Component-level inspection experience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • IPC-A-610 Certification (if expired more than 1 year - must be able to challenge)
  • ISO 9001 experience
  • PCBA experience
  • IPC-A-600/620 Certification.
  • Leadership experience
  • Capable of performing inspections by following blueprint instructions and written procedures given by the supplier engineering group.
  • Understanding of basic electro-mechanical tools (multi-meters, calipers, etc.) and basic hand tools (wrench, torque drivers, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret detailed drawings, schematics, and diagrams as required.
  • Basic computer skills, problem-solving, mathematical, and workstation skills.
  • Good organizational, reading comprehension, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently and quickly with a high degree of accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to operate in a multi-tasking, highly dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work, direct others' work, and communicate effectively as a team leader.
  • Operate in an ESD environment, including daily equipment checks.
  • Good Attendance is critical

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Must Be able to work one Saturday a month on a routine schedule.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
