Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and calm. You will complete routine rounds, document activity, support access control, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
  • Monitor for unusual conditions such as suspicious behavior, unsecured doors, and/or operational hazards, and report findings through required documentation and notification channels.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Control entry to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with observation of cash handling, vault, and/or ATM areas as outlined by site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or have a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
