Job Description




As a Security Professional - Armed Verification in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will greet residents and guests, verify identification, manage visitor entry, and document access activity. You will remain a visible presence at the entrance and conduct routine rounds to help identify and report security-related concerns, service needs, and unusual activity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control protocols at a residential community.
  • Control entry and exit by verifying identification and/or resident authorization, issuing visitor passes as directed, and documenting vehicle and guest activity in required logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community amenities, common areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or access issues.
  • Monitor cameras, gates, and alarm panels when available, report suspicious behavior and/or hazards, and complete accurate written and digital reports before the end of shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have at least 1+ years of law enforcement experience, or 2+ years of security supervisor and/or manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
