The Life Enrichment Supervisor (Activities Supervisor) is responsible for planning and delivery of recreational and life enriching programs designed to meet and honor the physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual, educational and social needs of all residents, based on an individualized assessment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a-4:30p. Full-Time. Leader on Duty rotation.

Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $23.00 - $28.00 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:



  1. Develops and maintains a master calendar of events, outings and other life enrichment opportunities for residents.
  2. Plans and conducts individual and group activities, events, and outings to meet the assessed needs of residents and ocuments resident participation.
  3. Performs assessments (initial, quarterly, annual) of residents' life enrichment needs and completes required sections of MDS, assists in the development of care plan to meet those needs, and participates in resident care conferences.
  4. Develops and maintains policies and procedures pertaining to Life Enrichment and communicates these to life enrichment staff and other departments.
  5. Provides transportation for residents to outings using community vehicle.
  6. Empowers residents to develop interpersonal relationships, socialize effectively and develop confidence to participate in individual and group programming activity.
  7. Responsible for department budget and ensuring availability of supplies.
  8. Maintains an interdisciplinary focus, being mindful of the needs and operations of other departments. Communicates with other departments in advance of events that will require their assistance and participation.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.



Driving Requirements: Local Travel and Driver's License Required

Minimum Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Activity Director Certification through a recognized accrediting body OR 2+ years' experience OR being an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapist Assistant OR having completed a training program approved by the state
  • Knowledge and understanding of the field of geriatrics and the interpersonal, spiritual and psycho-social needs of older adults
  • Ability to plan, organize and facilitate events for small and large group groups of people.
  • Valid Drivers License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, Resident's Bill of Rights, OSHA, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, Right to know, HUD Policy and Procedures, ADA, Fair Housing laws and regulations and SDS



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Previous experience working with seniors
  • ADC, ACC or CTRS
