The Adult Services Division of Johnson County Mental Health Department is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Clinician II on the Specialty Court Team. This position provides a range of community and office-based services for adults experiencing a severe mental illness who are justice involved and working to reenter the community. This person will work closely with various county courts, attorneys, supervision officers, and Mental Health staff. The clinical focus is on recovery, primary utilizing the Strengths Based Case Management model of practice while adhering to Adult Treatment Court Best Practice Standards. Application review will begin on February 11th. Johnson County has implemented a skill-based pay plan of up to $4200 annually for staff who have obtained licensure by the BSRB at the Clinical Level. Job Description Job Duties includes: Job Requirements Minimum Job Requirements: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or other Human Services field and Kansas Behavioral Sciences licensure* at the master's level in the area of focus are required. May require a KS/MO driver's license, depending on department or agency. *Applicants who meet Kansas licensure requirements may be considered if Kansas licensure is obtained by time of an employment offer and licensure is pending confirmation at the time of employment application. Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency. Preferred Job Requirements: Kansas Behavioral Sciences license at the clinical level and one year of experience in the area of focus is preferred. Previous experience completing competency evaluations and diagnostic assessments preferred. Previous experience working in Community Mental Health Center Preferred. Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions: All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation. | |||||||||||||||
