Software Test Engineer

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. We are seeking an Integration & Test engineer who will provide support for verification of an application suite hosted within a collaborative engineering environment. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system functionality and performance meet expectations. Responsibilities include assisting in the development and execution of test procedures, troubleshooting application defects, and documenting findings on Jira. Experience with automated testing frameworks as well as Bash, PowerShell, and Python scripting languages is preferred.

Working successfully within a team, the Senior Test Engineer will execute the test approach and document system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle. This will entail assisting in the following areas:

• Generation of system test work products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools
• Development of test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products
• Development of functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems
• Design, development and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software and systems for all phases of product development and manufacturing
• Develop and implement automated testing to the greatest extent possible

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree
• Solid knowledge in use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories
• Solid knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages

Target salary range: USD $85,239.00/Yr. - USD $94,562.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
