What this job involves:

As Senior Manager of Engineering Services at JLL, you will lead strategic engineering initiatives that directly impact our clients' real estate portfolios and operational excellence. This senior leadership role combines technical expertise with business acumen to drive innovative engineering solutions across diverse property types and markets while overseeing multidisciplinary engineering teams, establishing technical standards, and ensuring the delivery of world-class engineering services that enhance asset performance and client satisfaction. You will lead and mentor a team of engineering professionals across multiple disciplines including mechanical, electrical, structural, and sustainability engineering while developing and implementing strategic engineering initiatives that align with JLL's business objectives and client requirements. This position involves collaborating with senior leadership, client teams, and external partners to identify engineering opportunities and drive project success while overseeing complex engineering assessments, due diligence activities, and technical consulting projects for high-value real estate transactions. You will establish engineering standards, best practices, and quality assurance protocols to ensure consistent service delivery while driving business development efforts through client presentations, proposal development, and technical solution design, directly contributing to JLL's mission of creating transformative solutions for the real estate industry through cutting-edge engineering practices, strategic client partnerships, and comprehensive technical leadership that advances our engineering capabilities while fostering innovation and collaboration.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Lead and mentor team of engineering professionals across multiple disciplines including mechanical, electrical, structural, and sustainability engineering for comprehensive technical excellence
  • Develop and implement strategic engineering initiatives that align with JLL's business objectives and client requirements while collaborating with senior leadership and external partners
  • Oversee complex engineering assessments, due diligence activities, and technical consulting projects for high-value real estate transactions with focus on client success
  • Establish engineering standards, best practices, and quality assurance protocols to ensure consistent service delivery across diverse property types and markets
  • Drive business development efforts by supporting client presentations, proposal development, and technical solution design for strategic client partnerships
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to maintain JLL's competitive advantage in engineering services and innovative solutions
  • Collaborate with client teams and external partners to identify engineering opportunities while driving project success through technical expertise and leadership
  • Foster culture of innovation and collaboration while advancing engineering capabilities through strategic initiatives and world-class service delivery standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline) with Professional Engineering (PE) license and minimum 12-15 years of progressive engineering experience
  • At least 5 years in senior leadership roles with extensive experience in commercial real estate engineering including building systems analysis and capital planning
  • Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing complex technical projects with strong business acumen and client relationship management experience
  • Experience in business development and P&L oversight with excellent communication and presentation skills for translating technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Deep knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions for comprehensive compliance and quality assurance
  • Leadership experience overseeing engineering assessments, due diligence activities, and technical consulting projects for high-value real estate transactions
  • Skills in establishing engineering standards, best practices, and quality assurance protocols while driving business development through client presentations and proposals
  • Understanding of sustainability initiatives and emerging technologies with ability to monitor industry trends and regulatory changes for competitive advantage maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field with additional professional certifications such as LEED AP, CEM, or PMP
  • Experience with emerging technologies including IoT, smart building systems, and advanced analytics platforms for innovative engineering solution development
  • Background in sustainability consulting, energy management, or carbon reduction strategies with experience in global real estate services firms or engineering consultancies
  • Demonstrated success in developing new service offerings and expanding market presence while supporting international client requirements through bilingual capabilities
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, structural, and sustainability engineering disciplines with experience leading multidisciplinary teams across diverse property types
  • Knowledge of complex engineering assessments and due diligence activities with experience in technical consulting projects for commercial real estate environments
  • Experience fostering culture of innovation and collaboration while advancing engineering capabilities through strategic client partnerships and world-class service delivery.

Estimated compensation for this position:

145,900.00 - 218,900.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
