Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an industrial manufacturing location, you will conduct routine patrols and mobile rounds as a driving post, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor guidance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to issues with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying authorized credentials when required, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries per site procedures.
• Complete routine reports, incident logs, and shift handoffs, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
