Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced CMDB Product Owner (ServiceNow) to lead the strategy, governance, and health of our Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of the CMDB. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of ServiceNow and IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement CMDB strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and ITSM processes.
  • Establish and enforce CMDB governance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain the health of the CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define and document CMDB requirements.
  • Lead CMDB audits and reconciliation activities to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide guidance and training to CMDB users and stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to CMDB and ITSM.
  • Manage CMDB-related projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain CMDB dashboards and reports to provide visibility into CMDB health and performance.

Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing a CMDB / CMS, alongside proven experience defining strategy and success metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform and CMDB module.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing CMDB strategies and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team environment.
  • NICE TO HAVE: Relevant certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, ITIL).
  • NICE TO HAVE; Experience / certification with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping would be a plus
