Student Assistant

Looking to fill a research position in Dr. Robert Baiocchis Comprehensive Cancer Center laboratory for the summer. Our lab is focused on discovering mechanisms of lymphoma cancer development through cell culture and animal based models. This position would be primarily focused on performing basic bench assays and cell culture experiments.

This job will include:

-Performing protein assays: western blots, protein isolations

-Performing DNA/RNA based assays: PCR, DNA/RNA isolations, gel electrophoresis

-Performing cell culture work: growing and maintaining cells, diluting drug reagents for treatment assays, cell counting/viability assays

-Processing mouse tissue and organ samples

-Processing human blood samples

Qualifications:

High school diploma / GED required. Must be enrolled in a degree granting program at Ohio State University.
