Intern, Product Operations

For over 70 years Global Industrial has been an industry leader providing private label and brand name industrial equipment and supplies to businesses throughout North America.

We carry over 1.7M industrial, material handling and business products that are sold through our website, corporate sales people and full color catalogs. We are constantly increasing our product offerings to meet the diverse and changing needs of our customers. Our customers include small to large corporations, institutions and government agencies as well as consumers.

* Effectively collect, evaluate and process large sets of data, identify trends, and proactively solicit feedback from others with a focus on providing recommendations and solutions
* Take ownership for the normalization and processing of new and existing product information data from start to finish as it relates to new & existing items on GlobalIndustrial.com
* Work with Product Data Steward to enhance and better define our product data library and schema
* Work closely with our Product Operations Support team and key suppliers to collect, review and update critical information
* Perform content activities such as data analysis, editing, applying updates resulting from data normalization, content support and other functions along with ensuring the consistency of product information

* Rising Senior pursuing a major in Economics, Business Administration or related field.
* Solid analytical skills and strong organizational skills.
* Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
* Experience with standard MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
* Experience with Power BI is a plus
* Handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
