As a Business Analyst Store Projects for the US-CA-PR Sales Market, in the Expansion function you are responsible to drive and implement the regional strategies for Assortment Optimization, setting omni commercial business case for store projects in your Region. You collaborate and ensure fluent communication across Store Projects teams, Expansion and Merchandising. You work proactively to optimize assortment allocation, minimize business loss and secure high level of project implementation.

This hybrid role reports into our Regional Retail Space Manager and is based out of New York, NY

A Day in the Life

Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*

  • Provide commercial input to regional portfolio strategy based on both sales performance and consumer demand through catchment area analysis
  • Set the omni commercial business case, assortment mix and ideal store capacity for new stores, rebuilds and portfolio optimizations, using relevant toolbox
  • Ensure Interior Tracking is performed in your region every season and gather the

needed input to understand ideal store space capacity for future projects

  • Create SP10 projects in LIMA and update Buying budgets in BOB
  • Give relevant input to Leasing Manager for Signing Package for rebuilds and new stores
  • Give data-based feedback to Group Store Design on layout capacity in order to maximize sales productivity
  • Drive SP10 Approval packages by collecting store information, business cases and action plan
  • Support global functions in the development and roll out of Tests and other Global initiatives in your region, through business case analysis
  • Expansion projects: participate in projects kick off meeting with Area Teams, Store Teams, Visual Lead and other relevant functions.
  • SP10 projects: hold kick off meetings with Area, Store teams and Visual Project Lead
  • Align and execute Allocation actions, aligned with project phase planning and coordinating timeline with logistic and area team
  • Perform on-site visits with Visual Project Manager to ensure strong commercial execution and optimal customer experience
  • Follow up project performance on quarterly base and share learnings with Sales Markets, Region and Global
Qualifications

Who You Are:

  • Formal education within a quantitative field such as Business/Economics or Finance considered meriting but not mandatory
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to set up a business case and calculating ROI
  • Skilled in linking commercial analysis with store setup and layout
  • Strong project management skills - structured and organized and updating timelines, securing that deadlines are kept, and deliverables are meeting requirements.
  • PowerPoint and Excel knowledge
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • 2+ experience in merchandising or expansion function (projects and portfolio optimizations.)
  • Understanding of expansion ways of working, processes, and existing portfolio management.
  • Understanding of supply chain and garment flow complexity
  • Understanding of physical store operation and routine
  • General knowledge about existing store portfolio in the market
  • Ambitious and enjoys setting goals and achieving targets
  • Thrives in a high-pace environment and can make quick decisions even if information is missing
  • Is an analytical problem solver who is capable of seeing pros and cons
  • Adapts easily to new challenges and circumstance

Compensation: salary range is $86,804-$97,655 annually**
