GENERAL SUMMARY: Works under the direction of the hospice Bereavement Supervisor. Requires interpersonal skills necessary to present a positive image of hospice to internal and external customers. Demonstrates an understanding of the impact of death, grief and loss on patients, families, staff and communities. Assesses and identifies the grief and bereavement needs of hospice patients and families as well as staff and volunteers in accordance with the hospice concept of care Qualifications - External EDUCATION: Requires high school diploma or GED. EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in bereavement and/or training in bereavement or another related field preferred. Demonstrates ability for active listening.
