Minimum Qualifications

• Appropriate degree for the level of class being taught
• Experience/training relevant to the content area being taught
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to urban issues
• Licensure or certification, if applicable

• Familiarity with various online management systems (e.g., Canvas)

A flat adjunct salary is determined based on level of education and number of courses being taught.

A complete application includes (a) letter of application detailing desire and qualifications to teach in one or more of the areas listed above, (b) curriculum vita, (c) minimum of one current letter of recommendation (must be on letterhead and signed), and (d) verification of licensure or certification, if appropriate. Transcripts reflecting the highest degree earned and any other degree that may be relevant for the course assignment are required before final hire.

Organizational Structure:
The School is comprised of three (4) academic divisions: Teacher Education and Curriculum Studies; Counseling Psychological Sciences; Educational Leadership, Policy and Foundations; and Social Work. Adjunct faculty teaching in the School of Education, Social Work, and Psychological Sciences are responsible for teaching regular courses as assigned by the Division Chairperson.

Appointment:
These are term, non-tenure-accruing positions. Appointment periods are for the semester with consideration for reappointment.
