Job Summary

PACCAR is seeking a talented Summer Intern with an interest in future commercial transportation to join our Global Powertrain Product Planning team. This internship will assist PACCAR in analyzing transportation trends and aspects including technology Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), supply chain, infrastructure and Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) aspects. As a Product Planning Intern, you will gain exposure to commercial vehicle industry trends and customer use cases, while directly contributing to the strategic planning of future powertrain products. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop technical, analytical, and industry-specific knowledge in a fast-evolving mobility landscape.

What to Expect

  • Internships are in-person for 40 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks
  • Location: Lewisville, TX
  • Start Date: May 18, 2026, or June 22, 2026
  • Visa Sponsorship: Not available for this position (H-1B, TN, OPT, etc.)

About Global PACCAR Powertrain

Global PACCAR Powertrain organization designs and develops integrated, highefficiency engines, automated transmissions, and axle systems for Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF trucks-supported by essential functions such as testing, validation, and aftersales service. Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of strategists and planners to support the development of PACCAR's future global powertrain roadmaps.
  • Work alongside experienced Product Planners and Product Managers, contributing to product planning initiatives.
  • Conduct market trend analysis across North America, Europe, and RestofWorld regions.
  • Perform competitive product research to benchmark global powertrain technologies.
  • Support customerfocused Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses for multiple powertrain architectures and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
  • Currently a 3rd- or 4th-year student pursuing a bachelor's degree (graduating 2026-2027) in a business discipline, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Software), Mechatronics, Computer Sciences, or related STEM field required.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, analytical thinking, and a passion for innovative problemsolving.
  • Demonstrated motivation, integrity, and the ability to take initiative as a selfstarter.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, collaborative, and lean team environment.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).
  • Commitment to delivering reliability, value, and quality in all work.
  • Willingness to grow continuously with a strong resultsdriven mindset.
Compensation and Benefit
  • The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hour (pay varies by undergraduate and graduate degree)
