Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with extensive experience in Cisco routing and switching technologies. This role is critical in supporting secure, highavailability network operations for government and missionfocused environments. The ideal candidate has a strong background in network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization, along with an active TS/SCI clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterpriselevel network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco routers, switches, and related technologies.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability, redundancy, and security.
  • Implement network improvements, upgrades, and patches while minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Troubleshoot complex Layer 2/Layer 3 issues across LAN, WAN, and datacenter environments.
  • Develop and maintain detailed network documentation including diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems engineering, and operations teams to ensure secure and compliant network environments.
  • Support network engineering projects from planning through execution, including requirements analysis, design reviews, and testing.
  • Provide advanced technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering or related technical roles.
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco routing and switching (IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS).
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and related network protocols.
  • Experience with enterprise network monitoring and management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in missioncritical environments.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance (required at time of hire).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with firewalls, VPN technologies, and network security best practices.
  • Background working in government, DoD, or Intel community environments.
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Python, etc.) for network configuration and orchestration.
  • Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GovCloud) is a plus.
