The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering IT projects that support Herzing University's strategic and operational goals. This role manages all phases of project management and partners with business and technology stakeholders to deliver solutions on time, within scope, and within budget, while tracking and communicating project value, outcomes, and ROI drivers. The IT Project Manager applies established project management practices to support effective execution, process improvement, and consistent delivery, helping ensure project outcomes align with organizational priorities and long-term innovation and student success goals. This position reports to the VP of Strategic Execution.

REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT Project Management.
  • Experience managing projects involving enterprise applications, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), system integrations, or datadriven initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of AIenabled technologies and use cases, with experience supporting projects that incorporate automation, analytics, or AIassisted capabilities under established governance and standards.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, MS Project).
  • Experience supporting change management and user adoption for technology solutions.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problemsolving skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator certification is a plus.


Location: This role will be based out of the home office in Milwaukee, WI and will require a schedule of both in-office and remote days.

COMPENSATION is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan. The salary range for this position is $99,450 to $134,550.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Plan and manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation and requirements through execution, deployment, and transition to operations.
  • Manage assigned IT projects concurrently, including application implementations, system enhancements, integrations, and process driven technology initiatives.
  • Partner with business, academic, and IT stakeholders to clarify goals, gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure alignment throughout the project.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and dependencies; track progress, risks, issues, and deliverables using standard project management tools.
  • Define project scope and assumptions, proactively manage risks and issues, and control changes to scope, schedule, and cost through established governance processes.
  • Track project budgets and resource utilization; escalate risks or variances as needed.
  • Support implementations involving CRM platforms (including Salesforce), academics centric applications, data integrations, analytics, automation, and emerging technologies as applicable.
  • Support IT projects that incorporate AIenabled, automation, or datadriven capabilities. Partner with technical teams and stakeholders to help coordinate delivery activities, address change management considerations, and ensure solutions are implemented in accordance with established governance, standards, and policies.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and implementation partners, ensuring deliverables align to project expectations and contracts.
  • Provide regular status reports, dashboards, and presentations to project sponsors and IT leadership; support informed decisionmaking.
  • Apply Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies appropriately; contribute to improving project delivery standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Serve as a collaborative project leader; may mentor junior project managers or coordinators on tools and practices without formal peoplemanagement responsibility.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed; continually develop leadership skills.
  • Occasional travel may be needed depending on project needs.

  • Occasionally move, carry, or lift ten pounds.
