This opportunity is in the Insurance Underwriting department.

Role Description:
Imagine leading the underwriting and servicing of multi-line large deductible Construction accounts across a designated territory-where your expertise not only drives profitable growth but positions you as a visible leader within the industry. As Senior Regional Underwriting Manager, you'll be at the forefront of developing business relationships, evaluating complex risks, and tailoring creative insurance solutions that reflect Safety National's high standards. You will serve as a strategic partner to brokers and clients, presenting compelling business cases and representing the Construction Group in client meetings and industry events. Collaboration is key-you'll work closely with teams across Actuarial, Claims, Legal, and Risk Services to ensure cohesive account strategies. Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field is required.

Required Qualifications:



  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our Regional Offices either Chicago or San Francisco. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.
  • 10 or more years of underwriting experience, ideally in large deductible and national accounts within a field production environment


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and coaching underwriters
  • Strong agency relationship and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to achieve production goals and evaluate complex risks
  • Experience presenting to clients and representing organizations at industry events
  • CPCU designation a plus
  • Business acumen with the ability to use data and analytics in decision-making

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
