Position Overview

The HelpDesk Technician willbe responsible forproviding technicalassistanceand support to our staff, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of computer systems, software, and hardware with an understanding of AEC industry-specific software and tools.

Key Responsibilities



  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, network, and other IT-related issues at all locations.
  • Maintain Windows server and desktop operation system infrastructure
  • Assistin the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Maintainaccuraterecords of issues and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with IT team members toidentifyand implement solutions to improve system performance and user experience.
  • Conduct regular system updates, backups, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Support AEC-specific software applications such as AutoCAD, otherdesignand project management tools.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on the use of computer systems and software.
  • Assistin the management of user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
  • Assistnew hires with orientation and office setup.


Skills + Experience



  • Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Previousexperience in a helpdesk or technical support rolepreferred
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating system and Office 365
  • Familiarity with Azure and MS Defender environments
  • Familiarity with AEC industry software such as AutoCAD, otherdesignand project management tools.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and support
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, or relevant certifications is a plus

  • Work will primarily be in an office setting, with limited exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Workwill beprimarilyworkingwith fingers by picking, pinching, typing, and grasping often with repetitive motion.
  • Must have visual acuity for viewing a computer screen, the ability to talk,hearand sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 5 poundsfrequentlyand up to50pounds occasionally.
  • Weekend and overtime and/or overnight work and travel may berequired.
  • Additionalphysical duties may berequiredas necessary.
