We are looking for a motivated intern to join our Investor Relations team for an 11-week period lasting from early June to mid August. The internship requires 40 hours of work per week in a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely from home in Las Vegas).

Our paid internship offers students hands-on experience in financial analysis, strategic communications, regulatory reporting, and stakeholder engagement. The intern will assist in preparing investor materials, analyzing industry trends, and supporting outreach to shareholders while learning from professionals with dozens of years of experience in utility finance.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in corporate finance, capital markets, and energy markets. We are interested in students who have excellent relationship-building, leadership, and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in preparing quarterly earnings materials, including investor presentations, earnings call scripts, regulatory updates, and Q&A documents

  • Provide support for investor meetings, conferences, and non-deal roadshows by developing outreach materials, preparing briefing materials, coordinating logistics, and recording meeting notes

  • Monitor equity research analyst reports, sector news, and peer utility performance

  • Assist with board reports that provide updates on recent investor relations activity

  • Monitor credit rating reports and developments

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field

  • Must be in senior status or enrolled in a graduate program

  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret financial statements, projections, and regulatory filings

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly translate technical finance concepts into concise data visualizations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (financial modeling is a plus)

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

  • Interest in energy markets is a plus
