Engineering Staff Internship - Las Vegas

Interns are hired through a third-party vendor rather than directly by Southwest Gas.

This internship is based in Las Vegas, NV. Please note that relocation support, including housing or moving assistance, is not provided for this opportunity.

We are looking for interns to join our Internal Engineering Staff team for an 11-week period lasting from early June to mid August. The internship requires 40 hours of work per week in an office environment at our Corporate office located in Las Vegas.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an intern and a strong interest in working within the Engineering Staff function.

Our paid internship provides an amazing opportunity for students to gain practical experience and train with professionals with dozens of years of experience in natural gas distribution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn technical aspects of natural gas distribution

• Perform data review, compilation, and analysis

• Review the operations manual

• Review of pipeline data

REQUIREMENTS

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in any Engineering discipline

• Must be in a sophomore, junior or senior status

• Excellent relationship-building skills

• Excellent communication skills

SALARY DETAILS

$25-31/hour
