TITLE: Box Maker


POSITION OBJECTIVE: Efficiently create and assemble boxes or packaging materials according to specified guidelines and standards. This role involves ensuring the boxes are produced accurately, meet quality requirements, and are placed in the proper holding area.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Legal eligibility to work in the US.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred with knowledge of production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing our return on investment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude for machines used in the production process.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.


  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Complies with, monitors, and enforces all written and verbal safety regulations and programs of the plant and department.
  • Understand and adhere to plant policies and procedures.
  • Establish proper inspection procedures to ensure the highest quality boxes by checking for defects and poor gluing.
  • Accurately record transactions in the production operating system and notify maintenance of any equipment issues.
  • Maintain precise machine adjustments, including speed and size changes.
  • Be capable of producing 3,500 boxes during an assigned shift and accurately make box size changes within 15 minutes.
  • Ensure accurate box inventory by placing boxes in the designated holding area and maintaining cleanliness.


WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • The warehouse is not climate control. Must be able to work in an environment that is extremely hot, humid in the summer months, and cold in the winter months.
