The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The School of Nursing is looking to hire a Student Research Worker for the Center for Research on People of Color (CRPC). The incumbent will work closely with the Research Coordinator and Research Associate to assist in various day-to-day operations for federally funded projects. This position may be renewed annually and will be contingent upon availability of grant funds.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience with community engagement and working in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities



  • Assist with research study tasks, including subject recruitment, community outreach, participant scheduling, preparation of study materials, quality needs assessment interviews with community members, data collection, and assist with data analysis.
  • Attend staff and team meetings.
  • Communicate clearly and routinely with Program Manager and team.
  • Report to Dr. Jacquelyn Taylor.
  • Assist with other research studies and CRPC tasks as needed.
  • Position may require travel to participants throughout NYC.
  • Position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Requires a bachelor's degree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in research or healthcare.
  • Experience in community outreach.
  • Experience or interest in working with vulnerable and diverse populations.
