Summary Description of Position The Vulcan Asset Management (VAM) Administrator position is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the Vulcan Asset Management system for their assigned plant location(s). This includes but is not limited to maintaining asset lists, asset bill of materials (BOMs), asset inspections, asset preventative maintenance (PM), PM BOM's, repair & maintenance (R&M) inventory items, R&M procurement, work order (WO) creation, WO planning / scheduling, optimizing R&M inventory, and reporting VAM KPI's to optimize the efficient and effective utilization of our fixed and mobile assets. Individuals will also be responsible for tracking asset life cycles, repair and maintenance costs per asset, optimizing predictive and preventive standard operating procedures, and maintaining accurate records within the VAM system. The VAM Administrator works with various departments to implement and streamline asset management processes, troubleshoot issues, and optimize asset performance. Education, Experience, Skills Required Education: HS Diploma is required. One (1) to two (2) years college or equivalent work experience is preferred with emphasis in aggregate industry fixed and mobile maintenance, business administration, communications, computer hardware / software, and accounting. Experience: Previous experience with an enterprise asset management system and computerized maintenance management platform is preferred. Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Understand asset management principles and practices. * Understand key aspects of a maintenance workflow process utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) * Knowledge and experience with heavy mobile, crushing, feeding, screening, washing, sizing and related aggregate processing equipment * Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills * Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization * Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity * Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. * Proficient in the use of Oracle, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. * Possess sound knowledge of the accounting and financial reporting process and have good math skills. * Embraces change and is effective in helping others accept and propel change forward. Essential Functions 1. Maintain the VAM system from the plant(s) level perspective for assigned geographic locations.. Drive and safeguard compliance with asset management policies, processes, and best practices to ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. 2. Collaborate with plant stakeholders to identify needs, requirements and priorities and communicate these to the VAM Lead Administrator. 3. For assigned area(s), create and maintain asset records, including asset specification, naming nomenclatures, R&M inventory items, PM maintenance schedules, inspection schedules, and warranty information. 4. Analyze data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings. Research, document and resolve location related problems, as required. Present findings to the appropriate manager where and when needed. Generate reports and dashboards to communicate key asset management metrics and KPIs to stakeholders. 5. Participates in month-end accounting functions with regard to fuel inventory and accounting and fuel allocation. Prepares inventory reports, reviews reports, and creates journals via system software. Investigates discrepancies in data from the plants with regards to physical versus book inventory. 6. Conduct audits and inspections to verify accuracy and completeness of asset data and documentation for assigned area(s). 7. Provide training and support to plant site end-users on the proper use of the VAM system, related processes and software platforms. 8. Support Labcheck or other lube monitoring systems in terms of submitting samples with a high degree of accuracy in regards to lube age and type of oil. 9. Serve as a member of the Divisional VAM User Group. Attend meetings, in person or virtual, to continue the development and utilization of the VAM system. 10. Other duties as assigned 11. Provide first line user support within the VAM system Other Requirements * Position requires knowledge and awareness of site hazards.
