Could you be the full-time onsite EHS Specialist in Tampa, FL, US we're looking for?

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship are upheld, contributing to Alstom's mission of sustainable mobility. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as project management, subcontractors, and HR), conduct EHS risk assessments, and develop and implement emergency plans, and much more."

We'll look to you for:




  • Overseeing subcontractor EHS activities, especially where there are interfaces with other contractors or operational areas.,



  • Exercising full authority to stop any operational activity that presents immediate high risk to people or the environment.,



  • Coaching, guiding, and assessing EHS teams assigned to Projects.,



  • Engaging with social & medical partners and communicating EHS matters.,



  • Supporting the staffing of EHS functions during project execution and auditing the implementation of EHS plans during project phases.,



  • Monitoring compliance with statutory, regulatory, contractual, and company requirements; identifying gaps and proposing corrective actions.,



  • Maintaining records and project documentation related to EHS.,



  • Monitoring historical pollution data and assessing associated risks.,



  • Building and maintaining Project-level EHS communication plans."

  • Degree in EHS, Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). ,



  • Experience or understanding of EHS risk assessments, compliance monitoring, and emergency plan development. ,



  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards. ,



  • Strong communication and coaching skills to guide teams and engage with stakeholders. ,



  • Familiarity with local regulatory and legal EHS requirements. ,



  • Ability to oversee subcontractor EHS activities and manage interfaces with other contractors. ,



  • Experience in preparing and implementing EHS training programs. ,



  • Skills in conducting audits and implementing corrective actions. ,



  • Proficiency in maintaining records and preparing comprehensive EHS reports. ,



  • A proactive mindset with the ability to assess risks and implement measures to mitigate them effectively.
