Senior CADD Operator

RK&K is seeking an experienced CADD Operator to support our water, wastewater, and reclaimed water infrastructure projects. This role will be responsible for leading CAD production efforts, developing detailed construction drawings, and collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and project partners to deliver high-quality design solutions.

This is a remote position for candidates located in a state where RK&K has an office.

Essential Functions

• Lead CAD production for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems
• Prepare detailed plan & profile drawings for gravity sewers, force mains, and water mains
• Develop drawings for pump stations, lift stations, and treatment facilities
• Produce site plans including grading, drainage, stormwater features, and utility connections
• Interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and engineering calculations
• Coordinate utility conflicts, easements, rights-of-way, and underground constraints
• Perform QA/QC reviews, manage revisions, and support bid & construction phases
• Mentor junior CAD staff and collaborate with engineers, PMs, surveyors, and subconsultants

Required Skills and Experience

• Two (2) year technical degree or certification of completion in engineering technology, drafting, CAD Design or related OR 2 years of direct relevant experience and a High School Diploma can be substituted for the degree
• 5 years CAD experience on water/wastewater infrastructure projects
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D




• Surfaces, alignments, profiles, and data references




• Experience with utility-focused CAD workflows
• Strong understanding of pipelines, pump/lift stations, and treatment facilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
