What this role is:

You'll be a trusted analytical partner on the global Sustainability Team, helping the organization scale its sustainability strategy through advanced analytics, AI-enabled insights, and automation. You will support the Chief Sustainability Officer and broader team by transforming complex sustainability data, disclosures, and requests into clear, decision-ready intelligence.

Your work will help keep sustainability initiatives on track, proactive, and defensible, enabling the team to anticipate risks, respond efficiently to customer and regulatory requests, and focus leadership time on the highest-impact decisions.

What this role isn't:

This role isn't about basic administrative support or manual data gathering. It is a high-impact analytical rolerequiring strong judgment, discretion, and technical curiosity. You won't just track requests-you'll design smarter ways to manage them, using automation, AI tools, and structured workflows to reduce friction and improve outcomes.

What you'll bring to the table:

To succeed in this role, you bring a combination of sustainability domain knowledge, analytical rigor, and emerging AI skills. You're comfortable working with ambiguity, thrive in fast-moving environments, and know how to translate data into insights for senior leaders and internal customers.

You are a strong written and verbal communicator with a customer-service mindset, able to support high-stakes sustainability topics such as ESG disclosures, customer RFPs, and charitable initiatives with professionalism and clarity.

Some details about what you will do: Sustainability analytics & AI enablement
  • Build and maintain AI-enabled workflowsto support sustainability data collection, analysis, and reporting (e.g., ESG metrics, emissions data, customer sustainability requests).
  • Use NLP-basedand AI-enabled document analysis toolsto extract insights from sustainability reports, customer RFPs, regulations, and internal documentation.
  • Develop dashboards and analytical views that track project status, risks, and sustainability KPIsfor leadership.
  • Apply data validation and anomaly detection techniques to improve data quality, consistency, and audit readiness.
Stakeholder & customer support
  • Support customer requests for sustainability information in RFPs and questionnaires, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and speed.
  • Manage and analyze internal requests related to charitable offers and sustainability programs, identifying opportunities for process automation.
  • Partner with internal teams (Legal, Finance, HR, Procurement, IT) to align sustainability data, disclosures, and workflows.
Process & project management
  • Track sustainability initiatives, issues, and dependencies through to resolution, escalating risks earlyand proposing data-driven solutions.
  • Support onboarding, offsites, and team-wide initiatives with a focus on process efficiency and knowledge management.
  • Assist with ad-hoc analytical and strategic projects in support of the Office of the Chief Sustainability Officer.
AI-enabled operations
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort by leveraging automation, analytics, and generative AI(e.g., drafting responses, summarizing data, answering internal sustainability queries).
  • Help define governance and best practices for responsible AI use within sustainability operations.
Requirements: Core skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in translating technical information for non-technical audiences.
  • High level of professionalism and sound judgment in complex, high-visibility situations.
Analytical & technical skills
  • Experience working with data, analytics, or reporting in sustainability, ESG, operations, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools(e.g., analytics platforms, NLP tools, generative AI for summarization and drafting).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word); comfort working with dashboards and structured data.
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly and apply them pragmatically to real business problems.
Ways to stand out (preferred)
  • Experience using ChatGPT tasks, projects, analytics, etc. to automate work.
  • Exposure to sustainability data platforms or carbon accounting tools.
  • Experience automating workflows or improving processes using data or AI.
  • Curiosity about emerging AI capabilities and how they can responsibly scale sustainability impact.

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.

$80,100.00 - $140,900.00
