NDT/NDE Certified Welding Inspector Requisition Number: 2025-1350-04 Do you want to play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity of steel components and welded systems that communities rely on every day? S&ME is seeking an individual passionate about ensuring the structural integrity of steel to join our NDT/NDE team in Charlotte, North Carolina, as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). What You Will Do: As a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with a focus on NDT/NDE, you will guide metals technicians through advanced testing assignments while supervising field staff, shaping technical decisions that impact project timelines, and independently carrying out laboratory and metals testing work. This role includes significant fieldwork, which may involve safely climbing steel structures, such as buildings, communication towers, and water tanks, to elevations exceeding 200 feet while using fall protection equipment and personal arrest systems.
The role may involve workweeks exceeding 50 hours during high-demand periods, along with occasional evening, overnight, and weekend shifts as needed. What We Are Looking For: We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage demanding workloads. You should bring a proactive, safetyminded approach, communicate clearly with team members and clients, and stay organized while handling multiple priorities. Experience in Safety, DDC, NDT, or Radiation Training is highly valued and will help you succeed in this role. Qualifications:
