The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Unified Communications (UC) Engineer to support our government customer located in Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.

As a part of a multidisciplinary team, UC Engineer has the primary responsibility to ensure that all voice services are secure and operational. This role will contribute to all network and infrastructure NEC Baseline Support requirements and mission support as required for the NEC at USAG-KA.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support for Unified Communications requirements under NEC Baseline supportand for Mission supportas required.
  • Support Unified Communication with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Call Manager, Cisco Voice and Media Gateways as well as other associated services (Unity voice Mail, Unified Contact Center Express, Emergency Responder, IM & Presence Server, VQ-CMS...).
  • Operate and maintain the VoIP installation infrastructure providing voice services to the end users (analog, digital, IP) on Government property throughout Kwajalein Atoll with connection to any location worldwide.
  • Configure and maintain digital, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) end user telephone device.
  • Provide moves, additions, changes to user accounts, and network configuration for DISA Enterprise Voice over IP (EVoIP) customers and Enterprise Classified Voice over IP (ECVoIP) customers.
  • Provide for common calling features such as call forwarding, call transfer (3-way conference), ring again, last number redial, call pickup, speed calling, caller identification (ID), and other phone supported features
  • Provide access to service for the transmission of official Government business, to include on post, local commercial, and Defense Switched Network (DSN).
  • Planning and execute COOP to provide for voice communication during loss events.
  • Perform network discovery and conduct fault analysis. This service shall be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, less authorized service interruption to meet and exceed contract SLAs.
  • Ensure the creation and maintenance of detailed UC documentation including Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP), ConOps, phone number and location assignments. utilization reports...
  • Maintain strong working relationships within the Networks Work Center and with other work centers.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required with relevant experience.
  • CollaborationConcentrationExam(CCNP)with CCIE preferred.
  • Must possess and maintainDoD 8570.01 IAMLevelII certification(CompTIASecurity + CE or CISSP preferred).

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum five (5) years of Unified Communications experience.
  • Experience with CISCO Unified Communication Manager suite of products.
  • Experience with Cisco UC hardware products, specifically, Voice and Media Gateways
  • Ability to relocate and reside at the U.S. Army Garrison - Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (USAG-KA).
  • Pre-employment health screening is required due to remote location and limited medical and dental capabilities on the island.
  • Ability to ride a bicycle or walk at least 2 miles to/from work daily. There are no personally owned vehicles allowed on USAG-KA. Transportation is primarily by bicycle.
  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift 30lbs to waist height.
  • Ability to travel by plane or smallsea-goingvessel between working locations.
  • May be required to work overtime.
  • Rotationalcallbackand emergency duty are requirements of this position.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with InformaCast highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with CAIRS (Configuration | Accounting | Integration | Reports | Security) is beneficial.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Top SECRETsecurity clearance to access classified information.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. passport.
