Job Description

Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated Production Control Co-op to join our Oxnard operations team and gain hands-on experience optimizing manufacturing workflows, inventory management, and production scheduling. This role offers practical exposure to how technology and data-driven decision-making directly impact business efficiency and customer satisfaction.


Job Responsibilities:



  • Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules using ERP/MRP systems
  • Monitor work orders and coordinate with manufacturing teams to meet delivery commitments
  • Track production progress and identify potential bottlenecks or delays
  • Generate daily/weekly production reports and KPI dashboards
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives with data-driven insights
  • Communicate schedule changes, priorities and constraints to stakeholders across departments
  • Participate in production meetings and capacity planning discussions
  • Work with quality and engineering teams on process improvements


Required Qualifications:



  • Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, or a related degree program
  • A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
  • Completed at least 2 years of undergraduate studies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis, macros)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and production flow optimization
  • Comfortable learning new software and digital tools quickly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Team player with initiative and adaptability


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous manufacturing or operations experience is an asset
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, CostPoint)
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms

Pay Grade Range
Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position: $17.00 - 38.00/hour
