Job Description

YOUR OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting Warehouse Ops Trainer position at our pork processing facility in Guymon, OK. As the Warehouse OPS Trainer, you will be a key member of the training team. The Warehouse Ops Trainer will be responsible for training and developing the skills, abilities and knowledge of the hourly production workforce within a specific area of operations. Ensure the processing plant is equipped with a workforce which optimizes the goals and objectives of operations while delivering quality products and services which meet our standards and customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Train and coordinate production employees in assigned areas, ensuring compliance with product specifications and company policies.


  • Reinforce orientation information and support new employee learning.


  • Demonstrate full knowledge of department roles and perform each position competently.


  • Follow all workplace and food safety policies in accordance with company, federal, state, and local regulations.


  • Build a skilled workforce through hands-on training methods.


  • Track and evaluate trainee progress, maintaining accurate training records.


  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of management.


  • Assist with supervising production employees in the supervisor's absence, providing clear direction, instructions, and feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, or related discipline with two (2) years of progressively responsible positions or five (5) years of progressively responsible positions in the protein industry.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of current and application of USDA and FSIS directives and regulatory requirements.
  • Must have adequate experience to demonstrate thorough knowledge, skills, and abilities of both commercial and technical aspects of FSQA for the pork business.
  • Additional essential duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility and primarily will be on the production floor.
  • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This position is primarily on the production floor and will have limited office time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment requires you to wear hearing protection at all times on the production floor.
  • The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
