IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE

As a Sr. Business Information Analyst at BECU, you'll be a driving force behind transforming data into strategic insights across the enterprise. You'll collaborate with teams across the organization to lead the design of data-driven solutions that empower better decision-making and elevate member experiences. Your ability to translate complex business needs into technical strategies, mentor others, and solve problems with a systems-thinking mindset will directly contribute to shaping the future of BECU's business intelligence landscape.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead Data-Driven Solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technical solutions that align with business objectives and support strategic goals.

• Act as a Strategic Liaison: Serve as the connection between business units and IT teams, translating complex needs into actionable Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.

• Mentor and Guide: Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to Business Information Analysts, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing across the team.

• Identify Business Impacts: Evaluate how changes in systems, processes, or strategy impact teams and operations, guiding business units through these transitions.

• Support Testing & Troubleshooting: Lead test planning, resolve technical bugs, and ensure the quality and functionality of BI solutions meet business requirements.

• Champion BI Best Practices: Coordinate enterprise-wide data initiatives, ensuring alignment with BI standards and enterprise data management objectives.

• Drive Continuous Improvement: Recommend enhancements to existing BI solutions by leveraging your deep understanding of multiple systems and source data.

• Be On-Call When Needed: Respond to emerging issues during non-business hours to ensure continuity of service and support.

• Take on Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as needed to advance BECU's data and analytics goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field - or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum 7 years of experience delivering data and business intelligence solutions in complex environments.

• Proficiency in SQL and strong understanding of data warehouse architecture, modeling, governance and visualization. relational database structures and languages.

• A track record of applying structured problem-solving methods, identifying root causes, and implementing lasting solutions.

• Deep knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices and Agile Methodology.

• Proven ability to serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, delivering both strategic initiatives and operational solutions.
