POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Hydro Vac Excavator-Truck Driver is responsible for safely driving and operating hydro excavation equipment to perform non-destructive digging and excavation tasks, conducting daily equipment inspections, and troubleshooting operational issues. They must collaborate with supervisors and team members, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and perform additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:



  1. 2+ years experience operating and maintain equipment
  2. Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record. Class A license required
  3. Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:



  1. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and details.
  2. Certification in hydro excavation or related field


DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES




    1. Safely drive and operate hydro excavation equipment to perform non-destructive digging and excavation tasks.
    2. Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
    3. Utilize hydro excavation techniques to expose underground utilities, pipelines, and other structures.
    4. Perform backfilling, loading, and stockpiling tasks as required.
    5. Operate equipment in various environments, including tight residential and commercial spaces.
    6. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment operation and repair issues.
    7. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to discuss and address production challenges.
    8. Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
    9. Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
    10. Perform other duties as assigned.
