Title: Senior Software Engineer

Reports To: Director of Enterprise Applications

Position Overview:

The Senior Software Engineer will help design, build, and evolve mission-critical enterprise applications and integrations. In this role, you'll take ownership of key systems, influence architecture decisions, and help modernize how our platforms scale, integrate, and support the business.

This is a hands-on engineering role with real impact - ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring others, and building reliable systems that matter.

Role Impact & Core Contributions:

What You'll Own:

Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade .NET applications and Azure-based services
Architect and maintain scalable microservices and system integrations
Translate business requirements into clear technical designs and implementation plans
Build secure, well-tested, maintainable code following modern engineering best practices
Integrate with third-party APIs and internal systems to enable reliable data flow
Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making and implement the plans
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with real needs

Extended Scope / Exposure Areas:

Work alongside BI and data teams to support ETL processes, reporting, and analytics initiatives
Contribute to Power BI dashboards or Power Platform solutions when appropriate
Support integrations with ERP systems (JDE experience is a plus, not required)
Partner with database teams on SQL Server or Oracle-based systems

Integrations run smoothly with fewer failures and manual interventions
Business teams have better access to timely, accurate data
Engineering standards continue to improve across the organization

Technology Stack (Snapshot):

.NET / C#
Azure (App Services, APIs, SQL, integrations)
SQL Server (Oracle exposure a plus)
REST APIs & microservices
Power BI / Power Platform

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years of professional software development experience in an enterprise environment
Strong experience with the Microsoft stack, SQL, and API integrations
Experience supporting production systems and solving complex technical issues
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern development practices

Cloud or software engineering certifications are a plus but not required.

Physical Demands:

Flexibility to travel as needed to engage with multi-location teams and stakeholders.
Primarily sedentary work, involving prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment.
Ability to view computer screens for extended periods of time.
Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching.
Ability to communicate effectively in person, via video conference, and by telephone.
May occasionally be required to lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds, such as a laptop or office materials.
