The Opportunity

The General Assembly I is primarily responsible for assembling or modifying electrical or electronic equipment, such as airfield lights and signs.

You will make an impact by....



  • Adjusting, repairing, or replacing electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Cleaning parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
  • Reading and interpreting schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
  • Marking and tagging components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.
  • Positioning, aligning, or adjusting work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
  • Packing finished assemblies for shipment and prepare them for transport to storage areas.
  • Conferring with supervisors or engineers to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems
  • Explaining assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
  • Distributing materials, supplies, or subassemblies to work areas.

  • General manufacturing/assembly line experience required. Electrical assembly experience a plus but not required.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions.
  • Must be dependable and reliable.


Additional Information:



  • Work hours:


    • Day shift hours are Monday-Thursday 6:30a-3:30p and Fridays 6:30a-12:30p, with the ability to flex as required by the business.


  • Compensation Information


    • Temporary General Assembly 1 - $17/hr
    • Full-time General Assembly 1 - $18/hr
    • A $1,000 bonus after 6 months of employment
    • A $1/hr increase after 1 year of employment
    • 3 weeks of paid time off + a holiday shutdown
    • Shift differentials for working nights and weekends





Please note that temporary or full-time placement will be determined by the candidate's level of experience. Temporary employees may have an opportunity for conversion to full-time.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to hot/cold conditions (weather related); moving parts or equipment; fumes or airborne particles; and may be exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
