About This Role

This position performs and/or oversees strategic, broad-impact financial analysis, reporting and systems development for a college/division. Initiates and enforces financial changes to ensure compliance with all applicable procedures, policies and regulations. Conducts various statistical analyses and modeling involving financial data. Works with leadership to develop a strategic model for financial operations.

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Requires a bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience. Education beyond the minimum degree requirement may count toward required experience if deemed relevant by the hiring manager. The degree requirement ensures candidates possess the advanced quantitative and analytical skills required to conduct complex financial modeling and ensure regulatory compliance. These competencies are typically developed and rigorously validated only through the comprehensive curriculum and experiential learning inherent in a formal degree program.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 4 years experience in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 4 years experience in professional accounting/auditing work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management, problem-solving, and math skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with computers, especially accounting software, strong typing skills.
  • High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking.
